RESUMEN

The present study aims to identify the relationship between workplace spirituality, compassion, relationship with others at work, spiritual orientation, organizational value and alignment of personal values, and psychological well-being among universities' teachers. Further, the mediating effect of job stress was also identified between workplace spirituality and psychological well-being. Similarly, the mediation of environmental mastery between organizational values and alignment of personal values and psychological well-being was examined. Finally, we examined the mediation of personal growth between spiritual orientation and psychological well-being. The data were collected through a structured and adapted five-point Likert scale using a purposive sampling technique, with a total sample of 873 male and female university teachers working in the private and government universities. We employed structural equation modeling to check the relationship among the considered variables for analysis purposes. The results show a strong positive relationship between the independent and dependent variables. The findings further demonstrated that the mediation analysis confirms that job stress mediates the relationship between workplace spirituality and psychological well-being, and environmental mastery mediates between organizational values and alignment of personal values and psychological well-being. Finally, personal growth mediates between spiritual orientation and psychological well-being. To maintain the excellent quality of education, educational institutes need to identify and imply the practice of workplace spirituality that will help to reduce job stress and improve the psychological well-being of universities' teachers, thus resulting in better educational output.

RESUMEN

Very little attention has been given to understanding the commitment to service quality and desirable outcomes in the hotel industry. This study investigates the impact of directive and participative leadership on the frontline commitment to service quality through the mediation of knowledge sharing. This will eventually help us to generate the employees' commitment to service quality (CSQ) desirable behavior. The survey was distributed to 37 hotels. A total of 235 frontline employees participated in the survey. The study findings show that directive leadership has a negative relationship with CSQ. On the other hand, participative leadership positively influences CSQ. Notably, knowledge sharing mediates between directive leadership, participative leadership, and commitment to service quality. There were positive linkages between commitment to service quality and desirable outcomes, job performance, and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) and negative relation to turnover intention.

RESUMEN

Corporate environmental management attention is shifting from clean technologies and pollution prevention to green product development (GPD). As a result, firms consider GPD critical for their increased productivity, cost reduction, better use of input resources, mitigation of waste disposal and become environmentally friendly. This research measures the effects of the best practices of environmental management - pollution prevention technologies, innovation and early timing - on GPD; and to analyze whether the moderating role of organizational capital strengthens/weakens that relationship. Data was collected systematically from companies involved in GPD in Thailand. Hierarchical regression techniques were used for data analysis. Findings revealed the influence of innovation in pollution prevention technologies and early timing on GPD. Interaction of organizational capital further strengthened the effects early timing had on GPD. Contrary to research hypothesis, pollution prevention technologies did not facilitate GPD. Data didn't reveal the moderating effects of organizational capital on the relationship between pollution prevention technologies, innovation in pollution prevention technologies and GPD. Although, we did not hypothesize for the organizational capital, yet data revealed its direct impact on GPD. The findings also discuss the theoretical and managerial implications for modern managers.
